Anxiety Therapy in London

Support for anxiety, overthinking, persistent worry and feeling overwhelmed

Anxiety can leave you feeling constantly on edge, unable to switch off or caught in cycles of frightening thoughts. You may understand logically that you are safe, yet still find it difficult to calm your mind and body.

I offer warm, confidential and non-judgemental anxiety therapy in Central London and online, helping you understand what may be driving your anxiety and begin to feel more confident and in control.

Does Anxiety Affect Your Daily Life?

Anxiety is a natural response to stress or perceived danger. However, when anxious feelings persist or begin to affect your relationships, work, studies or everyday activities, life can become exhausting.

You may be experiencing:

  • Persistent worry or a sense that something bad will happen

  • Overthinking conversations, decisions or possible outcomes

  • Difficulty relaxing or switching off

  • A racing heartbeat, dizziness or shortness of breath

  • Problems sleeping or concentrating

  • Avoiding places, situations or activities

  • Perfectionism and fear of making mistakes

  • Irritability, restlessness or feeling constantly on edge

  • Panic attacks or fear of experiencing another one

Anxiety can appear even when life looks successful from the outside. You may be coping with work, university, relationships and daily responsibilities while privately feeling overwhelmed.

How Can Anxiety Therapy Help?

Therapy provides a regular space to slow down and explore your anxiety without judgement. Rather than only managing the symptoms, we can become curious about what lies beneath them and identify the experiences, fears and patterns that may be keeping the anxiety going.

Our work may help you to:

  • Understand your individual triggers

  • Recognise patterns of anxious thinking

  • Develop more helpful ways of responding to worry

  • Reduce avoidance and rebuild confidence

  • Understand physical symptoms of anxiety

  • Become less critical of yourself

  • Develop healthier boundaries

  • Feel better able to manage uncertainty

  • Address past experiences that may influence how you feel today

The aim is not to eliminate every anxious feeling. Some anxiety is a normal part of being human. Therapy can help anxiety feel less overwhelming, less controlling and more manageable.

What Is Anxiety Therapy With Me Like?

Anxiety therapy with me is a calm, supportive, and collaborative process where we work together to help you understand what is driving your anxiety and how to gently reduce its impact on your daily life.

In our sessions, there is no pressure to say things in a certain way. You can take your time and we will go at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you. Many people find it a relief simply to have a space where they can talk openly without judgement.

We will begin by exploring what your anxiety feels like for you personally—whether that shows up as overthinking, physical symptoms, constant worry, panic or a sense of being overwhelmed. From there, we start to make sense of the patterns together, so you can better understand what is happening and why.

Depending on your needs, I may draw on different therapeutic approaches, such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy or mindfulness-based techniques. The aim is always to find what works best for you as an individual rather than using a one-size-fits-all method.

Over time, therapy can help you to:

  • Feel more in control of anxious thoughts

  • Reduce the intensity of physical anxiety symptoms

  • Understand and break unhelpful patterns

  • Build confidence in managing difficult feelings

  • Develop a greater sense of calm and stability

Most importantly, therapy offers a consistent and supportive relationship where you do not have to face anxiety alone. Together, we work towards helping you feel more grounded, more confident and more able to live life in a way that feels meaningful to you.

Who do i work with?

I provide anxiety therapy for adults of all ages and have particular experience supporting young adults, university students and professionals.

Some people come to therapy because of a specific event or period of increased pressure. Others have lived with anxiety for many years and are unsure why they feel this way. You do not need to have a diagnosis or understand the cause of your anxiety before contacting me.

Sessions are available face-to-face in Central London and online throughout the UK.
