About me
My name is Alison Goolnik. I am an integrative trained psychotherapist and counsellor and my approach draws mainly on psychodynamic, humanistic and cognitive behavioural therapy principles. Everyone is different so I adapt the approach to suit you and benefit you. What is key is for us to build a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship.
I have worked across a wide range of settings offering psychotherapy and counselling in schools, further education colleges, hospitals and for university students supporting clients with a broad range of issues such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, financial difficulties, exam worries, low self-esteem, trauma, addiction and bullying.
Besides working privately, I also provide counselling for an online support service for young people aged 18-25 years. I work with adults of all ages and specialise in working with young adults.
